Located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin has always been a famous historic and cultural city in China.

| Guilin – Yangshuo County (陽朔縣) |

The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is considered a highlight of a China holiday. The 83-kilometer long waterway winds its way between sheer cliffs, with bamboo groves lining the river banks and farmers going about daily routines in the fields.
Some 65km south of Guilin, Yangshuo is a beautiful county embraced by the Li and Yulong Rivers. With the most-developed tourism infrastructure among the counties in Guilin, Yangshuo has recently started developing and optimising its industries by combining business, tourism and real estate in a bid to attract business travel and high-end tourism.

"Shangri-La" means “ideal living place” and refers to a location similar to the Garden of Eden or heaven. This depiction of Shangri-la (Shi Wai Tao Yuan) was built according to the poetic imagery depicted in Tao Hua Yuan Ji by the famous Jin Dynasty poet Tao Yuanming. Located along the Guiyang Road, about 49 km from downtown Guilin and 15 km away from Yangshuo, it boasts a charming rural location, folk customs and fascinating ethnic minority buildings and architecture.

Liu Sanjie is a folk heroine from Southern China who is said to have used her great singing voice to protest against the injustice of repressive landlords. “Impressions – Liu Sanjie” is a multimedia show with a cast of 500 and the Li River as a backdrop. It was created by filmmaker Zhang Yimou, who directed opening and closing ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

As a key bus manufacturer of the Ministry of Transportation, Guilin Daewoo has developed more than 100 models, ranging from 8-12metres. Sales have been in the first rank in China’s bus industry.

Located five kilometers northwest of downtown Guilin, the Reed Flute Cave is on the itinerary for almost all visitors to this area. The cave got its name from verdant reeds which grow outside and can be fashioned into flutes. Inside the water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition.
