Guangzhou Toyota Automobile Company Limited was established in 2004. It is a joint venture of Guangzhou Automobile Group and Japan Toyota Automobile company. With an aim of building the world’s model plant, they have put tremendous efforts on environmental protection by investing over RMB1.5 million in water treatment facilities and other related measures. The plant has obtained ISO14001 license in 2007 and is widely recognized as a role model of environmental friendly business in the Pearl River Delta region.

Kaiping Diaolou and Villages feature the Diaolou (碉樓), multi-storied defensive village houses in Kaiping, which display a complex and flamboyant fusion of Chinese and Western structural and decorative forms.
