Background of Hong Kong Forum

The Hong Kong Forum is the annual flagship event of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide, a unique network of 31 Hong Kong Business Associations in 23 countries with over 11,000 individual overseas traders, buyers and professionals as associates.

Every year members of the Federation converge on Hong Kong from across the globe. From more than 20 countries they have come to:

This is the spirit inherited from the Federation, which was founded in 2000 with the help of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, with a mission to inform and promote global cooperation, communication and synergy among the Hong Kong business associations.

While the scale of the forum expands, the programme will always include plenary session on federation issues, panel discussions on Hong Kong’s role in the globalising China, exchange ideas and information from success stories, networking with HK companies, business matching, company visit and China trip. The participating Federation associates are received by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong (also the Honoury Patron of the Federation), or a senior government official.
