Tour of quality speaker in Europe
Mr. Thomas Lagerqvist
March 13 – 16, 2007
Within four days, from Mar 13 to 16, 2007, Mr Thomas Lagerqvist, Resident Partner of Manheimmer Swartling & Co., and also Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and on the Board of Directors of the Sweden-China Trade Council, travelled to speak at three Chinese New Year Receptions and one Luncheon Seminar in four cities in Europe: Copenhagen, Oslo, London and Frankfurt respectively. This tour of Mr. Lagerqvist in Europe was first initiated by the Norway-Hong Kong Trade Association, but the idea spread by wind and resonated by nearby associations in Europe. In total, the four events with Mr. Lagerqvist have attracted over 400 attendees, including a majority of members from Denmark-Hong Kong Trade Association, Norway-Hong Kong Trade Association, Hong Kong-UK Business Forum, and German-Hong Kong Association.
"Is Hong Kong "old news" or is it still a good place for business" was the striking title the eminent Hong Kong based Swedish IP lawyer began his presentation. Adjusting for different receptions, Mr. Lagerqvist’s speech consistently focused on aspects about HK's advantages, such as finance, IPR issues, etc. With questions and answer sessions, attendees were well satisfied and have later commented his presentation as "very interesting and informative".
